Florida
Legality
Kei trucks are able to be titled and registered in Florida. However, the Kei car may be marked as a miniature truck, which restricts the usage to streets with a posted speed of 35 mph or less, so ensure the DMV does not mark it as a mini truck.
Mini trucks are vehicles that can't go over 55 mph. You'll need to ensure that you argue that a Kei car can go 60 mph or more so it does not legally fit in the category of mini trucks or low-speed vehicles.
To use the vehicle on roads, it will need to be marked as a pickup truck (PK title).
Vehicle inspection
Cars 25 years and older are exempt from vehicle inspections in Florida.
Law stating that 25 year or older cars are exempt
